Giving something back

Here at Edit, etc we have always been clear that we want to work as hard to help our local community as we do for our clients, so we’re proud to be able to announce that we’ve chosen our nominated charity for 2018/19 – the amazing children’s charity ‘Ada & Albert’.

Ada & Albert is a brand new, grass roots charity that fundraises to support vulnerable children in and around Bromley, Kent. The charity launched in June this year, and at Edit, etc we’ve been working closely with the Founding Volunteers since late last year, helping them to set up ready for the launch.

The children’s charity’s believes that every child deserves the best possible start in life, no matter their ethnicity, disability or financial background. The charity works hard to help protect children who have suffered from physical/mental abuse or poverty, and do not have access to basic daily essentials.

Ada & Albert fundraises through its Charity Boutique on Royal Parade, Chislehurst, which offers quality designer clothes, gifts and homewares, as well as fantastic high street fashion, all at bargain prices. The Boutique offers an amazing personal styling service and a friendly environment for customers, while the charity also runs local events for children and a full programme of classes and courses for people of all ages. Events @ Ada & Albert offers unique space that local businesses can rent for meetings or to promote their own businesses.

The charity is completely non-profit making, meaning that every penny of profit raised goes directly to local projects and community initiatives that work tirelessly to help vulnerable children.

In the six months that we’ve been working with Ada & Albert, giving them marketing, web design and admin support as they get off the ground, we at Edit, etc have been amazed and truly humbled at just how much a small group of determined individuals can achieve in such a short time.

From the smallest seed of an idea in November last year, the charity is now up and running, with a beautiful boutique and is already starting to make a real difference in the community.

We are proud to have played even a small part in Ada & Albert’s early success, and, as our chosen charity for the coming year, we will continue to provide Ada & Albert with all the support they need.

Visit if you’d like to find out more about the charity, and why not follow them on Instagram and Twitter?
